One of my clients has just asked me about what content to include on their new website's homepage...
To help answer the question I have recorded this short video which may also be helpful for others... enjoy!

traveling.

Are you on track to meet the goals you set for yourself this year? Yes? Great! No, well you've still got a solid 6 months to take
action and reach them.

Ask yourself these questions...

Think back to January 2011. What goals and ideas did you have for 2011? Write them down in a list.

Next to this list draw four columns and give them a header of:
January | May | Achieved | Action

In the 'January' column, using numbers order the list of goals and ideas in order of importance.

Repeat for May.

Which goals and ideas are the most important to you now? Are they the same as January? Think about why this is the case.

Now go through the list and tick off all goals you have achieved so far in the 'Achieved' column.

For all the items you have not
achieved to date, in the 'Action' column write done what actions you
intend on taking to make these goals happen. When writing your actions
try to base them on the SMART principle (see below for a refresher).

Keep in mind your priorities, take action and stay focused!

Use this little exercise as a way of
getting yourself back in line with what it is you want to achieve this
year. There is nothing worse than looking back at the end of the year
thinking - "There is so much I haven't achieved".

SMART Refresher

Specific - your goal and action must be clear to what it relates to
Measurable - know exactly when you have achieved this goal
Ambitious - be sure it stretches your business
Realistic - make sure it is achievable
Time-based - give each goal a deadline so you have a date to work towards

Low on money?

Ask about our payment plans, which allow you to reach your goals, whilst paying off your web, design or marketing project over a period of up to 12 months.

Are you sending a consistant brand message?

It is just as important to keep your brand name consistent on Facebook and other social networking sites as it is for your business card and business signage.

Be sure to secure your Facebook vanity URL as soon as possible.

What is my Facebook vantity URL?

Your vanity URL is essentially your Facebook web address which includes your username, making it easy for people to find you directly. It also allows you to promote your Facebook page easily on promotional material.

Your Facebook vanity URL looks like www.facebook.com/yourbusinessname.

So how do I secure my Facebook vanity URL?

Follow these simple steps...

Go to your Facebook page

Check the URL. Do you see a) www.facebook.com/pages/28142109478/yourbusinessname or b) www.facebook.com/yourbusinessname?

If you see b), Congratulations! You already have secured your vanity Facebook URL. If you see a) continue to follow this step-by-step guide.

Go to http://www.facebook.com/username/

Select your Facebook page from the dropdown menu

Facebook will check if your page is eligible for a vanity Facebook URL. As of March 2011, Facebook require you to have 25 people who like your page before you can select a vanity Facebook URL.

If you are eligible, enter the new name you would like to have included in the vanity URL. For example 'yourbusinessname'.

BEFORE you click 'check availability' be very careful to check your spelling and that you are 100% happy with this name, as you are not given any second chances. Once you click 'check availability' your choice is permanent.

If your selected name is available you will get a confirmation box. If your slected name is not available, try a different one.

And complete! Congratulations, you have now secured your vanity Facebook URL.

If the idea of boosting your income sounds appealing, keep
reading as I’m about to tell you some of the methods people just like
you are using to boost their income on the internet.

At this point its important to say – YES there are ‘Get Rich Quick’
scams out there on the internet BUT there are also many ways honest
people, who are willing to put in a little work can make money online.

Here are just some:

1) eCommerce and/or selling on eBay

This is one of the most obvious methods of making money on the
internet and certainly a valid one. One thing to consider before
starting an online shop, is the amount of work involved in packaging and
shipping goods.

For this reason, selling digital products can offer a more flexible way of making money.

2) Paid Membership Sites

Paid membership websites are a great way to boost your income. By
sharing knowledge, experience and expertise with paying members via a
secured website you have the opportunity to earn a monthly income which
is only limited by your ability to market the product.

The internet gives you fantastic tools which can be used to create
content simply and make it available on demand. This means its possible
to set up your business to practically run without you.

Some of the more successful membership sites can make up to $10 000′s per month.

3) Information products

Information products are an other great way of boosting your income.
By packaging your knowledge, experience and expertise in to a product
like an ebook, seminar or online/CD/DVD course, you have the potential
to earn anywhere from $10 to $10 000′s per month.

So why are information products so great? You only need to create
them once, then they can be resold over and over again, meaning your
profit is only limited by your marketing efforts. This is particularly
true with digital products which can be automatically sold and delivered
while you sleep.

4) Affiliate sales

With the growth of the internet, it has become simpler to find great affiliate opportunities.

You make a profit by reselling an existing information product and
receiving a pre-set commission offered by the owner of the product.
Commission may vary from 2% to 100% depending on the product.

You can sell affiliate products in numerous ways (depending on the
creator’s terms and conditions), including using Twitter, Facebook,
Adwords, on your website or via email newsletters.

5) Blogging

Blogging is up there with my favourite ways to make money online.

By producing regular interesting content (text/video/audio) and
attracting a loyal audience you can build up strong base for your online
business which over time, you’ll be able to monetize.

A proven formula for monetization includes the selling of your own
information product/service along with affiliate products and
advertising which giving you 3 income streams. This particular formula
has worked for some bloggers who now make a 6 figure income.

Over the coming months, I’ll be interviewing people who are at
different stages of unlocking their ideal lifestyle through the internet
(including those who have made big $’s online). To make sure you don’t
